What is Kids Crossing?

Kid’s Crossing is a Tuesday night program that runs from 6:15-7:45PM.  We will be kicking off the 2024 – 2025 year on September 24th!

Kids Crossing engages kids, focuses them on the truth of God’s Word, encourages memorization and community, and puts parents in the drivers-seat in their children’s discipleship and walk with God. We’re gearing up for another great year of Kid’s Crossing in 2024-2025, and hope that your children will join us on this journey!

Who can attend

Kid’s Crossing?

Kid’s crossing is for any child who is 4 by September 1st – 6th grade.

You/ your children do not have to be regular attenders of Woodlands Church. We run the duration of the school year and sign up is available all year round!

What does a typical Kid’s Crossing night look like?

Each night will include great games, some engaging teaching, practical small groups, Bible memorization, singing and lots of great people. But, everything is simplified, and everyone is working together – on the same page. Kids will learn verses together, have opportunities to wrestle with real life questions together, and grow closer to one another throughout the year. We have four age groups:

 Micros – 4’s + Kindergarten

Minis –  1st + 2nd Grade

Mids – 3rd + 4th Grade

Majors  – 5th + 6th Grade

Do I need to register my child ahead of time?

Yes!  This year we are limiting the number of students in each group in order for kids and volunteers to have the most valuable time possible during Kid’s Crossing.  Limiting group size allows for kids to get the attention necessary for them to learn powerful truths of who Christ is and create life-long Christ-centered friendships.  For leaders, having a limited group size allows for them to truly disciple each child and prevents volunteer burn out. We are excited for the impact of intentional group sizes.

Our hope is that every kid will have a small group by the Kid’s Crossing Kickoff on September 24th. As volunteers continue to “say yes” to Kid’s Crossing, spots will become available.

If there is not an immediate spot for your child, you will still need to complete the registration form.  You will then receive a waitlist confirmation, and will be notified as soon as a spot becomes available.
