Isaiah 10-12, Proverbs 15, 1 Thessalonians 5
Prayer:
- In 1 Thessalonians 5, we get these sweet reminders from Paul of the promise of life eternal with Christ as God’s children. He goes on to give exhortations as to how to live in Christ now. I was struck by v. 23-24 – this is a prayer to pray over yourself, your loved ones, your brothers and sisters in Christ: “Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.”
- We are two weeks away from our Fall Kick-Off for Kid’s Crossing, our weekly midweek program for 3 years – 6th grade. As we continue to prepare for this ministry launch, please be praying that everything from the games, to the worship, to the teachings, would all align with God’s plans and purposes to help our kids faithfully follow Him. We pray that He would be working in the hearts of our volunteers and we thank Him for the ways in which He has provided in another unique season of ministry.
- Please pray for Rich and Rachel as they continue to serve the cause of Christ wherever they go. Pray for refreshment, encouragement, rest and replenishment as they finish up this last season of home assignment.*
