Reading:
Isaiah 55-57, Proverbs 18, 2 Timothy 3
Prayer:
- In the third chapter of 2 Timothy today, Paul reminds Christians what lies ahead… hard times and struggles. It is a very sobering chapter with the sweetest reminder and encouragement of where our hope lies nestled into the last verses. Paul calls Timothy (and us) to remember that Scripture is able to make us, “wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus” (v. 15). Pray that as you read Scripture today and everyday, the sweet salvation offered in the person of Jesus Christ is settled deeper into your soul. Pray that the inspired Scriptures are profitable in your life – “that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work” (v. 17).
- This week through Sunday Kids and Kid’s Crossing our kids are learning that they were created by God, that we are made in His image, and that when we accept Jesus into our hearts His Spirit dwells within us-His power is in us and greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world. Please be praying for our kids this week, that they would understand that putting on the armor of God equips us for the world around us. Please be praying that God would help bring these truths to the forefront of their minds as they navigate school, friends, sports, and their week ahead. .
- Pray for Tim and Tracy as they seek to make disciples of Jesus through InterVarsity.*
