Scripture:
Romans 16, Proverbs 16, Joshua 3-5

Prayer:

  1. In Joshua 4, the Israelites set up an “ebenezer,” or a tower of memorial stones to remind them of what the Lord had done. This was in order to remind generation after generation that the Lord had rescued them. Pray that we, as a church, would ever keep the Lord’s actions in front of us – that Jesus came and rescued us from sin and darkness at the cross, and that he rose from the grave and defeated our sin and death, giving us new life.
  2. Pray for the Woodlands Kids team as they continue to work through the details of this season:  deploying their mid-week volunteers into life groups to help foster gospel conversations in homes with kids, creating curriculum for those volunteers to use to aid in teaching and talking about Jesus now with a larger range of ages at one time, and connecting Woodlands Kids families into life groups.
  3. Pray for Tammy who lives in Thailand and is laboring for an Asian closed country as a counselor, guide, and teacher to other workers in her region. Just recently, she moved to a new home and welcomed a child into her home while that sweet child waits for a forever home. Pray for all of the transition Tammy is going through right now – pray for steady trust in God who is calling her to walk faithfully with Him through this season. Pray for the right helper to care for the baby while she works. Praise God for her heart for the littlest of these.
