Reading:
Isaiah 40-42, Proverbs 17, 1 Timothy 5
Prayer:
- 1 Timothy opens with some incredible language, “Don’t rebuke an older man, but exhort him as a father, younger men as brothers, older women as mothers, and the younger women as sisters with all purity” (1 Timothy 5:1-2). One of our priorities here at Woodlands is to be a community marked by grace. In this opening of chapter 5 in 1 Timothy, Paul uses familial language to describe interactions within the body of believers – in this specific case, interactions that may hold tension and disagreement. Pray that this body of believers would be marked by grace – that we would “express our differences with graciousness and pursue our mission with unity”.
- It is officially here! Our first night of Kid’s Crossing, after an 18 month hiatus, kicks off tonight! We praise God for the opportunity to connect with our kids tonight ages 3 years – 6th grade. We thank Him for His goodness in providing volunteers to come alongside our kids. We pray that His Spirit would be overflowing in our church tonight and that each of our kids would connect with Him and with one another.
- Please pray for Kristina as she seeks to settle into a new ministry setting and to make disciples in this new place.*
