Hebrews 11, Psalm 119, Zechariah 11-13

  1. Hebrews 11 is the famous “Hall of Faith” passage. In it, we read about “heroes” of the faith that went before us. This passage isn’t about us emulating their lifestyle, but instead encouraging us to pick up the torch that they have left to us as faithful followers of Jesus. Pray in thanks and praise today that we are part of something much larger than ourselves; part of a faith that has been carried from generation to generation because of God’s faithfulness. Also pray that God would strengthen you to faithfully carry the torch that has been handed to you.
  2. Woodlands Youth Group is tonight.  They are using this sermon series to focus on “God is Love”. As with all of us, but especially students, love becomes transformational when it’s experienced. Pray that students would not just know but experience the love of God.
  3. A men’s class called Uncommon begins today at 6:15am.  Pray that there would be great discussion and connection on early Wednesday mornings between men.
