Reading:

OT Catch Up, Psalm 118, Titus 3

Prayer:

  • “This saying is trustworthy”. What saying?  “But when the kindness of God our Savior and his love for mankind appeared, he saved us – not by works of righteousness that we had done, but according to his mercy – through the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit.  He poured out his Spirit on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior so that, having been justified by his grace, we may become heirs with the hope of eternal life” (Titus 3:4-7). On the heels of yesterday’s sermon, soak again in the gospel.  Don’t rush over these words, but read them slowly, thoughtfully, prayerfully.  This is the good news.
  • The Forest Lakes District Fall Conference is today and several staff members are attending. The theme is Leading Well for a Lifetime. Pray for good encouragement, grace-filled conviction, and ultimately, kingdom fruit to be grown from this conference in our staff team and in our church.  Pray, too, for safety while traveling and great, gospel-centered conversation as we travel.
  • Please pray for Gordon and Sara as they seek to make disciples of Jesus through Bible translation work.*
