Reading:
Jeremiah 43-45, Psalm 126, Hebrews 12
Prayer:
Next week, this tool is changing a bit. We’ll be sending out weekly prayer prompts rather than daily. You can still expect a post each Monday, but those prayer prompts will carry you through the week.
- Hebrews 12 can be a familiar one, especially the opening lines. That beautiful refrain we can take refuge in, “Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith”. Give thanks in that truth for a few moments, and hold onto that truth when you continue reading. This chapter addresses suffering well and not growing wearing. “Therefore, lift your drooping hands and strengthen your weak knees, … so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but rather be healed” – pray that as you and I strive through this race set before us, we would be looking to Jesus through all the trials, triumphs, suffering and healing. Spend time looking at Jesus today as you pray.
- Pray for the classes and groups meeting tonight. Some will meet at Woodlands and others are dispersed among homes. Pray that these groups and classes will help build up the body of Christ – use Colossians 1:27-29 as a guide for this prayer.
- Please pray for Jerry and Diana as they seek to serve in the building of the body of Christ near and abroad.*
