Reading:
2 Chronicles 1-2, Proverbs 30, 1 Corinthians 10
Prayer:
- There is a beautiful thread of unity in Christ’s blood running through 1 Corinthians 10 and in that unity, a call to seek the good of another. The phrase “No one is to seek his own good, but the good of the other person” from verse 24 gives food for the soul to meditate on in the presence of a good and faithful God that desires to bring goodness, life and blessing into the lives of his image bearers. Sit with God in this, ask him to search your heart and reveal any offensive way in you. Repent of those actions and posture and ask God to lead you in his righteous ways -to work in your heart to know the good thing and do it.
- This week we read Proverbs 30:5 “Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.” God’s promises are true and good. As we continue to teach our children with curriculum based on the sermon series, please be praying that our children (ages 3-6th grade) will continue to see the truth of God’s Word and seek refuge in Him.
- Pray for those missionaries who have been displaced due to the pandemic, boarders closing, or changing demographics because of the pandemic. Many are still uncertain of what will come of the place they called ‘home’ and have not been able to return or perhaps will not be able to return in the near future. Pray for God to bolster their faith, give them great perseverance and faith in this season of testing. *
