Reading:
2 Chronicles 12-14, Psalm 79, 1 Corinthians 13
Prayer:
- “How long, Lord? Will you be angry forever? Will your jealousy keep burning like fire?” Have you ever dared to utter those words? The Asaph does in Psalm 79. The psalms give us language on how to call out to God in all circumstances, including our distress. If you haven’t, can you think of someone who might be feeling this way? Look again at the pattern of the psalmist- cry out to God and call upon his great compassion to come quickly and help. He is the God of our salvation and he is full of compassion. Cry out to him on your own behalf or another brother or sister in deep waters.
- As we continue to walk through Ephesians as a church, pray that our eyes would continually be opened to the Glorious Community God is creating in his bride, the church. Pray that the people of Woodlands would be a holy nation in and among the communities in which we reside. Pray that we would be agents of God’s grace, goodness, kindness, mercy, and compassion to each other and to our neighbors, coworkers, friends and family.
- Pray for Doug and Rachel Allord who are serving in London. They will be visiting us in person this coming Sunday! Watch for details on how to catch up with them on our webpage and on our social media channels.*
