Reading:
2 Chronicles 9-11, Psalm 78, NT Catch Up
Prayer:
- Psalm 78 is this incredible epic – a retelling of the story of Israel and God’s steadfast love following a rebellious people. As you read through the psalm, pay attention to the descriptors of God and those of Israel. Pick one of each and give thanks for how God’s character overwhelms our failures with grace.
- Pray for anyone who has felt the whisper to be baptized. We have a baptism service coming up in August. Pray for those believers to be emboldened to take this step of faith and obedience and many would come forward to be baptized in August. Pray against the schemes of the evil one to diminish or derail these believers from proclaiming their faith and allegiance to Jesus!
- As we celebrate Independence Day in the United States this weekend, take some time to think of those missionaries who are celebrating other holidays, many we have not heard of, as they dive deeply into the community and culture they are placed. Pray for a sweet and deep community to surround our missionaries, both stateside and spread around the globe. Pray for brothers and sisters that can encourage, challenge, and support them.*
