Ecclesiastes 6-8, Proverbs 12, Colossians 1
Prayer:
- Goodness, the riches that can be found in Colossians 1. You can slow down in any selection of verses and use them as a prompt for your prayer, especially v. 9-14 (so rich!) v. 15-20, v. 24-29… so much to digest and pray through! In verse 22, Paul tells us that Christ has reconciled us to “present you holy, faultless, and blameless before him”. Holy. Faultless. Blameless. Those are some powerful words. Take some time to ponder each and give praise and glory to God, that His Son’s death on the cross is what made the way and faith in this good news is what keeps us.
- On Tuesday night of this week, the GroupLife kick off event took place to encourage and equip the leaders within GroupLife. Pray for encouragement for those who lead other adults in transformational communities. In particular, pray for leaders of life groups, classes, and Rooted groups. Pray that the leaders and their participants would be growing in the gospel this year – in their love of, knowledge of, application of, and appreciation for the gospel and the way it forms our lives as believers.
