Reading:
Job 36-38, Proverbs 11, Philippians 1
Prayer:
- We’re moving through New Testament books quickly now, and today we start Philippians. With the horrific events taking place in Afghanistan, it is difficult to read Paul’s words in Philippians 1 without thinking of our Afghan brothers and sisters in Christ who have not only read the words of Paul, but are facing them now – facing the very real possibility of death for their faith in Jesus. Pray the words from v. 9 – 14 for those who are persecuted for believing in and proclaiming the name of Jesus. Pray that Jesus would be near in the extremely dark and difficult days and hours for our brothers and sisters. Pray for those words to be true in your life, as well.
- This past Tuesday, ladies of the church came out to connect and enjoy Dinner on the Patio. What a sweet time of coming together as a community! Pray for the connections made and give thanks for the joy this event brought to the ladies that came. Please pray that ladies of Woodlands would connect into deep, gospel-centered relationships this year through the many options available – both for our good and that Christ would be glorified through these relationships.
- Pray for the team of Christ-followers laboring in Indonesia to raise up and develop more disciples of Jesus!*
