Who will you pray for today?
Pray for the people who live in the community that you live and work in.
Idea: Pray that they would come to believe Psalm 68: 19-20.
"Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens. Our God is a God who saves; from the Sovereign Lord comes escape from death."
As our students are on summer break, pray that they would continue to pursue Christ. Also, pray for the recruitment of leaders for the 2018-2019 school year - that God would provide the right volunteers to match the students' personalities.
Jordan Mancl serves with Cru in southern Wisconsin on the UW-Whitewater campus as well as the UW-Madison campus. Jordan, too, is on sabbatical. Would you pray that Jordan would grow closer to God during this extended time away to be renewed and refreshed?
Together, we are praying for fathers this week.
While some may have fantastic relationships with their dads, others have mourned the loss of theirs, while still others may have never known their father or are torn up by the lack of love between you - no matter where you find yourself this day, would you lift up a fatherly figure in your life. Try praying Philippians 1:9-11 over that person today:
“I pray for __________, that his love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that he may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God." (Philippians 1:9-11, ESV)
