Keep praying for your family members. Who will you pray for today?
Idea: One of our favorite things to do in the morning before we leave the house is to read Ephesians 6:10-18. My daughter loves to put on the belt of truth, her breastplate of righteousness, her gospel shoes, her shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and you better bet she pulls out her sword of the Spirit! And I love the way this practice leads me to pray over her. What Scripture do you love to pray over your family?
Pray for your circle of influence. Who are some people that you tend to see often and can influence for Christ?
Idea: During our "Go and Bear Fruit" series, Pastor Mike McGuire referenced the idea of 'praying for one'. Literally, choosing a pre-believing friend or acquaintance to be praying for - to be praying for their salvation. Who might be your 'one'?
Pray for our weekend services. Thursday is the day we make final preparations for Sunday morning. Would you pray for the message, those who will attend, and all the details involved? (Think about volunteer teams, tech teams, worship teams. etc.)
Pray that God's Word would go out with power this weekend!
Gordon and Sara Williams are serving with The Seed Company, Wycliffe Bible Translators. They provide leadership to Seed Company Field Operations staff and programs in Asia/Pacific/Eurasia to accelerate Scripture translation and impact for people without God’s Word, through Great Commission partnerships. Their vision is, “God’s Word transforming lives in every language in this generation”. As I read through their requests, a repeated theme is "God is good." Amen! Let us join Gordon and Sara in praising God for His goodness. Would you also pray for God's wisdom and timing and clarity for Gordon and Sara!
Summer is a great time to reevaluate your Spiritual Growth Plan. Will you pray for the people of Woodlands Church, that they would make it a priority to connect with the Lord this summer, tweaking their Spiritual Growth Plan if needed? We know that God causes us to grow, but it is our responsibility to put ourselves in the position to grow. Pray that Woodlanders would choose to grow this summer!
