Pray for your family members today. Follow a rhythm that works for you!
Pray for your Life Group members today - that they would walk closely with Jesus this week.
Idea: Pray that they would live for the sake of His name, as described in Psalm 79 - repenting from their sins and living for Christ.
Help us, God our Savior, for the glory of Your name; deliver us and forgive our sins for your name’s sake.
At Woodlands, we respond to God's grace by loving and serving our community through our Local Outreach Ministry. Will you pray for this ministry today? Thanks to this ministry, we have developed a variety of strategic initiatives to meet real needs in Christ's name. Please pray for those initiatives:
We are shifting gears a bit in this section of our prayer guide. We have now prayed through the missionaries Woodlands Church sponsors twice since we began using this tool. While in this new rhythm we will still be praying for Woodlands supported workers, we will also be learning about the different countries in which they serve. We will be pulling this information from a variety of sources, but the main inspiration for this change is the book titled Operation World: The Definitive Prayer Guide to Every Nation edited by Jason Mandryk. (visit this link for more information)
As we enter into this new rhythm, would you seek God and ask Him to renew your vision for and eagerness to see the Great Commission fulfilled? We acknowledge prayer is an act of faith, of obedience, of worship, of warfare and sacrifice, or labour and love. Ask God for a renewed vigor in your prayer life today, especially in this area of seeing the world reached with His gospel!
As we reflect on the sermon from Sunday, will you join us in praying for all of the marriages at Woodlands Church? Pray that we would be people who live out Ephesians 5:25-33:
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to Himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church— for we are members of His body. “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
