It amazes me how a group of diverse individuals, many of whom just met for the first time, can come together and work so efficiently to accomplish a common goal. If someone needs help or a task needs to be done everyone just pitches in. And mom's and dad's you would be very proud of your students...No one needs to asked to do something more than once and no eyes are rolling :)
Yesterday, our first clinic day, was truly like drinking out of a fire hydrant! It was all hands on deck and the experiences from the first day alone will be remembered for a life time. Being a part of detecting precancerous cells and helping the patient will follow up to giving someone an injection to relieve pain and the joy of interacting with the beautiful people of Guatemala will never be forgotten.
