Scripture:
Romans 5, Psalm 107, Ezekiel 21-23

Prayer:
Today in Woodlands in the Word, we get to read Psalm 107, the first of the fifth book in the psalter. The opening lines declare the theme of the psalm, “Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!” The psalm then describes four different groups of God’s people who reach out to him in times of need or affliction – and God hears and answers their humble cries for help. We, as God’s people are then called to respond with thanksgiving and praise. Practice this today – cry out to him today in your need and affliction and “let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for his wondrous works to the children of man!”

TransAct Hope has accepted two new families into the program and continues to develop the ministry and the mobile home park in which the ministry is based. Please pray for the two new families that they can clearly identify their growing edges and take healthy steps toward that growth. Pray for wisdom for the TransAct Hope Board as they seek to grow the ministry and develop the property for greater impact in the lives of the TransAct Hope participants and neighbors.

Pastor Brian shared our new purpose statement in this weekend’s message. Pray that we would learn as a church and as individuals how to remain Christ-centered by clinging to Jesus, and how to best help those around us faithfully follow Jesus.
