Scripture:
Romans 12, Psalm 111, Ezekiel 42-44

Prayer:

  1. Romans 12 is a beautiful paraphrasing of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus’ Kingdom of God ‘manifesto’ in which he declares what his Kingdom and its citizens look like. If we call ourselves followers of Jesus, we are called to be conformed to the image of our king Jesus, and not to the patterns of this world. Pray that God, through his Spirit, would expose the ways that we are conforming to the world and that he would shape us to be more like him.
  2. Our youth small group leaders are the main shepherds (besides families) for our youth. Pray for these leaders to be committed to their own spiritual growth & to be seeking out Christ-centered community for themselves. Pray for God’s loving-kindness to be surrounding them as they trust in Him. (Psalm 32:10)
  3. There are several of our missionaries who have been ‘displaced’ in this season of pandemic.  Pray that they would trust in and how God is working and leading them personally, as well as the countries they’ve been asked to leave for a season. Pray for a ‘quick and natural fit’ into their new roles and responsibilities and for a fruitful season of ministry in their new circumstances.
