Hebrews 7, Proverbs 17, Joshua 24, Obadiah 1, Zechariah 1

  1. Hebrews 7 beautifully describes the priesthood of Jesus.  Read through the chapter and meditate on the truth revealed in verses 22-25:  “This makes Jesus the guarantor of a better covenant. The former priests were many in number, because they were prevented by death from continuing in office, but he holds his priesthood permanently, because he continues forever. Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.”   We can have confidence in our secure salvation that is in Jesus who lives and intercedes for us even now.  Praise God for this reality!
  2. Praise God for the 60+ people who signed up for Life Groups and Rooted groups!  Pray they would integrate well into Woodlands community life. Pray now as Life Groups and Rooted Groups start meeting, that each group would grow in their knowledge of Christ – pray each member in these groups would love Jesus more, form their lives around him more, and join him in his mission.
  3. This is a big week in the new building! Clark, our audio, video and lighting contractor is on site this week and next week.  Pray that this is a fruitful two weeks of installing the audio, video and lighting equipment.  Pray, too, that there are very few coordination issues and those that exist are easily resolved between Clark and our general contractor, Boson Construction.
