Prayer:
- In Psalm 9 today, we see the infinite greatness blended with the wonderful gentleness of God. Reflect on what you’ve read so far in Matthew – how do you see these two attributes upheld in Jesus? As you reflect, praise him for his infinite greatness and thank him for his wonderful gentleness.
- As we prepare our hearts for the sermon this weekend, let’s remind ourselves that our God delights to walk with the broken and inadequate {that’s you and me!}. Pray for your effectiveness as a follower of Jesus – that you would be effective for the Kingdom by walking the way of the cross. Praise God that your effectiveness, as an ambassador of Christ, has present tense implications!
- Pray for Marty and Pat as they seek to make Christ known through their service in InterVarsity. *
