Genesis 28-30, Psalm 6, Matthew 14-15

Prayer:

  • Psalm 6 is a powerful and passionate plea to God. It’s a plea to God for mercy in the midst of the psalmist’s brokenness. Have you ever felt like this? Have you ever pled on your knees for mercy from God in the midst of your hurt? Perhaps you can resonate with this psalm. For your prayer today, pray Psalm 6:2 over yourself and sit in it for a while.
  • Pray as we continue this series focused on the Sermon on the Mount, that God would use the message Pastor Dave opened with last week in reminding us what it means to be blessed (inward joy in knowing God’s favor is on you and knowing that our hope is secure) and just who this kingdom of God is for (the poor in spirit, mourn, meek, hunger and thirst for righteousness, merciful, pure in heart, peacemakers, and persecuted).  Ask God to help us realize who we truly are and who Jesus truly is – and remember that we walk with him!
  • Pray for John and Judy who serve overseas to advance the gospel.*
