Reading:

Leviticus 16-18, Proverbs 12, Luke 7

Prayer:

  • The end of Proverbs 12 today says, “There is life in the path of righteousness, and in its path there is no death.”  As we finish up Leviticus this week and read of the requirements of a Holy God given to his ‘set apart’ nation of Israelites, bear this in mind: ‘there is life the path of righteousness.”  Reading through the Law can feel heavy at first shot, but let the Word do its work in you and think about a God who, despite rebellion, pursues his crown of creation with abundant blessing and desire to be their God. Give God praise and glory for this incredible truth.
  • Today we are reading Luke 7 which shares two different accounts of people with incredible faith in Jesus-the Centurion and the sinful woman at the home of the Pharisees. We are going to be launching Kids Crossing 412 in just two weeks-please be praying that through this time together on Tuesday nights our 4th-6th graders will have their faith strengthened and the hearts poured out for Jesus in similar ways to the Centurion and the woman in Luke 7.
  • Pray for Nick and Emily as they seek to make Christ known through their work overseas. *
