Reading:

Leviticus 7-9, Proverbs 11, Luke 4

Prayer:

  • So far in Leviticus, we’ve been reading about some of the different offerings required of the Israelites – how and why they were to be done in pretty precise detail.  Did you notice in yesterday’s reading in Leviticus 5 these words, “If someone incurs guilt in one of these cases, he is to confess he has committed that sin.” It is striking as we walk through these passages how those who are to come to God are to come with confessing hearts.  What sin in your life needs confessing?  Praise God that we can now, “with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16).  Confess and receive the grace of Jesus.
  • This weekend we will host Discover Woodlands for anyone fairly new to Woodlands.  Pray that many relatively new people to Woodlands would come, they would receive information and a warm, personal welcome to Woodlands Church.  Pray for appropriate follow-up to help Discover Woodlands attendees plug into this body of believers.
  • Pray for Howard and Marilynn as they seek to make Christ known through their work. *
