Reading:

Joshua 9-11, Psalm 41, Acts 2

Prayer:

  • In Acts 2, we get to read about the day of Pentecost when the Spirit filled the gathered believers and onlookers could, “hear them declaring the magnificent acts of God in {their} own tongues.”! Can you imagine such an event?  And now that we’ve read through the Pentateuch and have marched into Joshua in our Old Testament readings, we have fresh reminders of God’s strong arm working in human history. Take a moment to remember the magnificent acts of God you have had the opportunity to witness in your own life as well as through reading his story – declare them and rightly give him the thanks and glory.
  • This week, we are hosting the Student Summit – a time when students get to pick seminars to attend on a variety of topics led by various local speakers.  Pray that students would be encouraged in their faith as they interact with these topics.
