Prayer:
- Pray for those around the world who heard the gospel message this weekend – pray for good soil for this seed to take root and grow into fruitful lives. Pray for the narrow gate to be made known and for trust and obedience to Christ grow in all new believers this Easter Monday!
- Use the words of the apostle Paul in Philippians 1 to pray for new believers and old:
And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. - Think, too, of missionaries around the world who have proclaimed the gospel this weekend. Pray for new believers to take root and grow, that they would bear good fruit and grow in their trust and obedience to Christ. Pray for follow up from missionaries – that they would glorify Christ through their interactions and Christ would glorify them through his work in them.
