Reading:

Deuteronomy 31-34, Proverbs 17, John 19

Prayer:

  • Today we read the story of Good Friday in John 19.  This part of the story is brutal, both in Jesus’ experience of this day and our privilege to read the words faithfully recorded that describe this day. What is good about this?  Three words – “It is finished.” There is an ocean of meaning in these words and, brothers and sisters, take comfort in them.  The redemption of Christ’s church is perfected. Pray this truth would be impressed upon your soul until it touches and redeems every single part of you.
  • Pray for Good Friday services that will be held here and in many other Christ-centered, Bible-believing churches. Pray that the good news of the Perfect Lamb slain for the rescue of the sin-stained would break down walls of those who haven’t heard or understood previously. Pray that the good part of Good Friday would be understood, believed, and trusted throughout the course of this Easter weekend.
  • Please pray for Dave & Sarah as they seek to make Christ known and loved.*
