Reading:

Judges 1-2, Psalm 44, Acts 7

Prayer:

  • Stephen’s story continues in Acts 7 today.  What an incredible, encouraging, and challenging story! Yesterday, we learned Stephen, full of grace and power, was performing great miracles.  Today we get to hear his sermon walking through the history of Israel (most of which is still fresh given our Old Testament readings) and witness his death as a martyr.  Incredible, encouraging, and challenging. Pray today through the incredible, encouraging and challenging parts of your own story.  As we learn from Stephen, look for Jesus, call out to him, trust him, and ask him to help you imitate him as your story continues to unfold.
  • Ask God to build good and healthy friendships among our youth.  Many are feeling isolated and yearning for authentic friendship.  When they are together, pray that they would be courageous and vulnerable with one another about life and seek to support one another.
  • Pray for Jim and Kay as they seek to make disciples of Jesus. *
