Reading:

Joshua 21-24, Proverbs 19, Acts 6

Prayer:

  • As we close the book of Joshua today, twice we are told to notice, “None of the good promises of the Lord had made to the house of Israel failed.  Everything was fulfilled.”  (Josua 21:45 and 23:14).  The second of these proclamations is accompanied by a warning.  God promised these good things and likewise, will bring about the curses when Israel turns to other gods (upcoming in Judges). Soon we will read of the downward spiral of Israel in the book of Judges and look for God’s heart for his wayward people, but for now, let’s praise him for fulfilling his promises. Give glory to God by using the words of 2 Corinthians 1:20, “For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory.”
  • As the Kids Ministry team dives into planning Camp 412 (Camp Zip) and VBS please be praying for wisdom and discernment on curriculum, programming, volunteers, and how to safely navigate camps this summer.
  • Pray for David and Heidi as they seek to build the Kingdom of God. *
