Thank you for your prayers! So thankful for a safe arrival and a good night of rest. We are all feeling refreshed. This morning I woke up to the sound of birds singing outside the window and cool, refreshing morning air coming through the windows. The orphanage is so peaceful. Some encouraging observations: This year was the first year we could not make a direct flight from Chicago to Guatemala City-and considering the subzero temps and storms, this was an advantage (and God's provision!) for our team because several flights were cancelled from Chicago, which would have kept us from traveling. I have already noticed our team beginning to gel. We arrived and Ryan pulled out his guitar and praise choruses echoed throughout the orphanage, the games came out, college students laughed and played soccer on the patio area--everyone is full of joy and excitement to continue the adventure. We have already intersected with some of the pastors from Los Olivos, and it has been encouraging to see familiar faces and to have fellowship as a larger team. I am excited for clinic set up today and revisiting Sumpango market. Thank you for praying-know that I think of you all (family) often, and several things have reminded me of each one of you individually that I already wish I could tell you! Over and out! --Kris
