! Rooted Experience
The Rooted Experience is an opportunity to digest and discuss the Rooted Series that will walk through the book of Galatians. Throughout the series, we will gather after the first service and use the sermon-based curriculum to process what we are reading, hearing, and learning. You’ll be able to meet other Woodlanders and get a taste of what it looks and feels like to be a part of a life group at Woodlands.
Beck Life Group
We’re a group of couples and singles in our 20’s and 30’s. We’re willing to dive into a wide range of discussions and look to bring openness and vulnerability to the meeting space. We’ll start with the sermon-based discussion and branch off based on group decisions and input. We meet every other Monday at 7 pm.
Betrayal and Beyond
“How did he get this way? How can I tell if he is getting better? Can I ever trust him again? Was it my fault? What do I do now?”
When a wife has been hurt by her husband’s sexual sin, finding answers to these questions is crucial in moving forward. The Betrayal and Beyond small group is a safe space for women to find healing by understanding the role of trauma, establishing healthy boundaries, exploring the depth of forgiveness, and learning to live in restoration.
Bible Study Fellowship
This is an in-depth study of the book of Matthew that will help you know God and serve effectively in the Church.
Biblical Worldview and Critical Thinking
The Bible doesn’t just teach us about following Jesus – it also teaches us how to think. And yet, we rarely pause and consider biblical wordviews or philosophy. In this course, we’ll dive into the process of biblical thinking, exploring Scripture and philosophy with the aim of growing closer to Christ.
Breitzman Life Group
Our group is made up of couples and singles from Woodlands and other churches. We meet weekly on Mondays at 7 pm near Lake DuBay. This fall, we’ll be doing an inductive Bible study on the book of Matthew. If you live on the north side of town, this could be the right group for you!
Bruesewitz/Lewis Men's Life Group
We are a group of men who spend time in God’s Word, prayer and discipleship.We meet every other Monday from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. This group is open to all ages.
What is it with this Jesus guy? Who did the people of his time say he was? What does he have to do with us, what goes on in our world, and after this life? Christianity Explored is a 7-session in person course that gives people the time and space to think about the big questions of life and to explore the life of the man at the heart of the Christian faith. As we explore Mark’s Gospel, we find out who Jesus is, why he came and why that is good news for us.
Dahlke Life Group
We’d love to have you consider our Tuesday Life Group. Couples & singles in their 50’s and 60’s are welcome. A typical evening involves light refreshments, discussion of the sermon-based curriculum, and a time of prayer. We meet Tuesdays from 6:30 – 8:30 pm at our home.
Do you desire to walk alongside others and help them walk closer with Jesus? Then let’s dig into God’s Word and explore a variety of effective ways to help others faithfully follow Jesus.
This course will look at biblical foundation for discipleship looking at men and women in the old and new testament that invested in the lives of others to help them grow. We will also look at Paul’s charge to Timothy in 2 Timothy, and offer very practical ways we can intentionally come alongside others for the purpose of helping them to grow in their relationship with Jesus. There are many ways to help others grow and we will explore a variety of effective ways.
A warm, caring environment led by people who understand what you’re going through. This 13 week group meets weekly to help you heal from the hurt of separation and divorce. Hear from nationally recognized experts on divorce and recovery topics, using the recently released new curriculum. New sessions include: Deep Hurt, Road to Recovery, Grief and Depression, Loneliness, Fears and Anxiety, Conflict, Forgiveness and others.
Fierce: Women of the Bible Study
Join us as we study lesser-known female characters in the Bible and the ways they changed the world by leaning into God’s calling. As we explore their lives, we will discover how we too can lean into our callings, honor the Lord, and even change the world through our courage, faithfulness, and obedience. The study includes DVD segments featuring an opening “fierce” vignette followed by engaging Bible teaching with practical life application. The workbook includes five devotional lessons for every week of study.
If you’ve lost someone you love, you’re not alone. This support group will help you process your pain and loss alongside others so that you’re not alone in this journey. The 13 week group has a workbook, discussions, and videos that will guide you through the grieving process.
Introducing the Gospels and Acts: Their Background, Nature, and Purpose
The story of Christ is the story of the whole Bible. But the gospels and Acts unqiuely record the life of Christ, and the growth of the local church. Take a deep dive into the text, priorities, focuses, and directions of each book. See how God used these texts to communicate His heart for His people.
Jobs for Life
If you are out of work and need help finding a job, this class will teach you the job skills and character traits necessary for gaining and maintaining meaningful employment.
Karch Men's Life Group
Jump into this men’s group that meets every Tuesday from 6:30 – 7:30 pm. We watch a variety of biblically based video series, then follow up with discussion time.
Landon Life Group
This group for young married couples (20s & 30s) meets weekly on Wednesdays from 7 – 9 pm. We’d love to have you join us as we, in community, seek to grow in our love for God.
If you’re an adult who is experiencing a mental health difficulty or disorder this class will guide you through simple, biblical and neuroscience insights and equip you with tools that help reduce anxiety, depression, stress, and other challenges.
Men's Compass Group
This is a men’s recovery and accountability group that meets with the purpose of encouraging one another to follow God’s standard for sexual purity with a supportive team of brothers.
Neff Life Group
Looking for a Life Group that meets virtually? This group of younger couples with young kids discusses the sermon series every other Sunday from 1 – 2:30 pm. Open to all, couples and singles.
Nothing to Prove Women's Bible Study
In this study we will look at Jesus’ life throughout the Book of John: the way He lived, what He valued, where He went, why He went, what He hoped for, what He wanted. It will be offered both in person and virtually via Zoom. It is 8 video sessions led by Jennie Allen.
We meet at 6:30 in the morning and we will begin our study on Tuesday, September 21 with everyone encouraged to attend in person at Woodlands for a potluck breakfast.
Paul's Theology and the Letter to the Philippians
We have a lot of different ways to think about theology – but how did the Apostle Paul think about theology? Through this course, we’ll examine Paul’s theology and priorities as expressed through his book to the church in Philippi. See how the Bible and theology interact and explore Paul’s theology!
Problems in Bible Interpretation: Difficult Passages I
Let’s face it – some passages in the Bible are hard, confusing, or just plain weird. This class will begin diving directly into those passages, examining the language, grammar and culture that can help us understand what the biblical author – and through him, God – was saying.
If you’re a high school or college-aged student who is experiencing a mental health difficulty or disorder this class will guide you through simple, biblical and neuroscience insights and equip you with tools that help reduce anxiety, depression, stress, and other challenges.
Schobert Men's Life Group
Looking to join a men’s group? This group of guys (40s-60s) meets every Wednesday at the church at 10 am and will soon start studying 1 & 2 Thessalonians.
Schobert Senior Life Group
Seniors (50+) interested in an in-depth study of 1 & 2 Thessalonians will enjoy this Life Group. We meet weekly at the church on Wednesdays at 1 pm.

The Nine Attributes of a Man
In a world where everyone is attempting to define manhood, why not look to God who designed men. God’s definition of real manhood is found in the ultimate man – Jesus Christ. This study will empower you to become the man God wants you to be.
We hear about the Trinity, but why does it really matter? Does it really make a difference? Is it actually in the Bible, and how would it change how we live, act, and worship? We’ll dive into all these questions with a heart to know and love God more faithfully, and worship him more fully!
Unique Moms Group
This is a group of mothers of children with Unique Needs. We meet virtually once a week to support each other with ideas of how to navigate daily life with children who have special needs. Our meetings are on Wednesdays from 7 – 8 pm.
Westberg Women's Life Group
We are a casual group of women who enjoy talking about our lives, our faith and our needs – and the need for improvement in those areas. We meet Wednesdays at 6 pm, twice a month.
Womens Unraveled Group
This weekly confidential small group is designed for women who struggle with any unwanted sexual behaviors such as sex, porn, masturbation, and relationship addictions. Through the use of weekly exercises, strategic tools, and a self-care focus, we learn how to unravel the messiness of our struggle in order to experience lifelong healing from a greater understanding of who God is and who He created us to be. Open to women college-aged and above.

We’re a group of young adults, ranging from college-age to people in their 30s, and focused on building Christian community and growing closer to God. We meet every Monday at 6:30 pm at the church.
