We'd like to take a few minutes of your time to introduce the team that is heading down to Ecuador in just a few short days!
Please keep this team, the Ecuadorians, Darrell & Sondra, as well as the family members staying here in the states in your prayers!
This is my 1st mission trip. Doug talked to me about it a couple months ago and my wife encouraged me to go.
I'm a jack of all trades with a background in teaching Tech Ed. I'll step in where needed and I'll also be playing the bongos!
I hear about these trips all the time but always think I'm not qualified and have nothing to offer. When this one came up I went to the meeting and found out there would an opportunity to teach about beauty; inner and outer.
With a degree in Sociology and Beauty I'll be able to contribute by teaching skills the girls will be able to use to earn money in the future.
I want this to be more than a construction trip. My real hope is to be able to be a witness for Christ.
I'll be contributing my construction experience and keeping everyone on track with my detail oriented personality.
I never really wanted to travel anywhere. It's really out of my comfort zone. God laid it on my heart and prompted me to go.
I'll be contributing my love for kids and my 6 years of Spanish!
I have a passion for working with youth and helping them find their self worth.
My contribution will be my ability to adapt quickly to difficult and changing situations. I'll be able to encourage and reassure others to trust God and keep pushing through.
Doug asked me to go. I've been to Hatti a couple of times and it gave me a desire to serve. I knew I'd be coming out of some very busy weeks but felt it was right to go.
I'll contribute my ability to delegate, accomplish tasks, and my problem solving skills.
Mission trips are powerful. This will be my 24th trip in 11years. God uses them to grow me. They give me new life in Christ and help me to press on through difficult things.
I'll contribute my willingness to try new things, my extroverted personality, and my ability to form and grow relationships.
When I heard this trip announced at church I immediately thought I wanted to go and bring Noah. When Noah leaned over and whispered Dad we should go that was just affirmation.
As a former youth pastor I've been on several mission trips so I'll be contributing my experience along with my ability to weld. I'm looking forward to seeing change and growth in all of us.
When I saw the trip I said I was going. When Bailey said she wanted to come that just made it better.
My contribution to the team will be my experience with construction and welding.
I've always felt called to be a missionary. I have a passion for the under privileged and hurting. Meas said we could go so having his support and willingness to go as well made it an easy choice.
I'll be contributing my musical talent and maybe even some of my baking!
I've been on a lot of mission trips but none since college. The kids are at an age that make the timing right for me to start going again.
I'll be contributing my construction experience from all the repairs I do around the house from having 8 kids!
I've been wanting to go on a mission trip for a long time and this is the perfect trip for us.
I have construction experience from flipping houses and I'm good at photography.
Life isn't about myself. I want to serve others.
I'll contribute to the team by filling in wherever I'm needed.
