After Sunday service and meet & greet lunch, we headed over to the clinic to set up for Monday's open clinic. We found our teams and started to learn more about our area's.
For photography we had a little office where we will be taking family photos. Many of these people never had a family photo or any other of themselves. The pharmacy area stocked shelves and I even caught one team member as they were getting up from stocking a lower shelf. The way I took the photo looks like he is running away from pharmacy instead of stocking the shelves. In surgery they started to set up surgical tables and learned more about each other. In optical it was fascinating to see that many of the members were getting an education in understanding the eye besides setting up the area. In triage they were getting the area set up to take in patients and understand what is needed of them on the first day. This is also the area where they are given spiritual counseling so they can deepen their faith and heal the whole body instead of just receiving medical attention. In general practice area, the team members were learning how to do an ear wash and the importance of doing ear washes. They practiced on one another and were told what types of things to expect on the first day.
When I went to the rooms to take group pictures some of the teams wanted to be light-hearted and have fun with their pictures. This allowed the teams to bond together not on a medical way but a deeper personal way. This will make the teams stronger and allow clinical days to move smoother.
