Monday was a great first day of clinic for us. We had a late start leaving the hotel due to our bus showing up late, but we rolled with the punches and got to clinic as fast as we could. When we arrived, people were lined up ready to recieve care. Triage started seeing patients right away, identifying which care area in the clinic they should see. All areas became very busy as patients kept flooding in. All in all, we were able to see over 300 patients on Monday. Today, we expect to see many more patients than that (given that our bus shows up on time). Yesterday Dr. Milan shared a morning devotional from Mark 4:35-41, talking about how our group is on the boat in the story and waves have been crashing over it. We all easily get in a panic but really we shouldn't, because Jesus is on the boat with us. He was from when we left Stevens Point on the bus, is still with us, and will be with us after the return home. Because he is with us, we need not fear. It was a GREAT devotional for us all. Pray this morning that we would have the opportunity to see more patients at todays clinic than yesterday, provide excellent care, and maintain physical and spiritual strength.
