Our second day at All Saints camp was fun and productive. There was painting, cleaning, deck washing, subfloor laying and a whole lot of relational time with residents. We even had a famous artist visit the camp, perhaps you've heard of her...Rebekah'angelo. She has a striking similarity to Rebekah Brunner! Rebekah graced the new Dining Room by painting a Scripture verse on the wall (check the gallery for a pic).
Today we gear up for a last project push. Our morning will be spent helping the Adventure Learning Center prepare for Easer Monday Funday. This fundraiser is a major undertaking and we are so glad we can help out. The afternoon will be spent at the Bahamas Association for the Physically Disabled where we will spend a couple hours interacting with the day-residents.
Tonight it's time to reward the students for all their hard work this week. We will head to Paradise Island to explore Atlantis and tour the incredible aquarium there called the DIG. The stark contrast between the "resort Bahamas" and the "real Bahamas" will come in full force tonight for our students. It's always a fun, but eye-opening and confusing experience. How can 10x10 rundown shacks exist only 5 miles from 5-star extravagance?!?!
