What a whirlwind week it has been. Let me just start off by saying that this is the best team EVER! Everyone gets along and it feels like a family, I am so thankful for the friendships that are being formed. So much has happened, and I want to say it all, but I don't want to sound crazy! On Sunday, we served at Grace Community Church at their Sunday School, and it was surprisingly similar to Woodlands. The kids were VERY knowledgeable about the Bible, honestly they probably know more about the passage we discussed than the team does. And the worship! The worship at Grace was incredible! The congregation praised and worshipped with so much enthusiasm, I think most of the team would agree that it was the best part of the day! Today, we served at The All Saint's Camp, where the residents are AIDS patients. Each resident has a small room with a bed and a closet, and some have a mini fridge or a TV. For most of the day we primed two rooms in preparation for painting, and textured a wall. We served lunch to the residents, and Genesis and I ate with Brenda and one of her friends in her room. After discussing our day with the team later tonight, I find it amazing how grateful the residents are for so little. It's inspiring to see the hope that they have. Then we got to go to the beach! We took a short hike to a canal, and jumping in felt so good! I still can't believe that we're in the BAHAMAS!
OK, that's all for now, I'm sure you'll hear more! Thank you for all the support and prayers, we are so thankful!
In Christ, Rebekah Brunner
